Italian born, Nunzia De Feo started creating simple shapes out of brass, copper and silver wire more than 10 years ago.
Encouraged by her passion, she decided to refine her skills and moved to study jewellery in different places: London, Salzburg, Vicenza and Padova.
Her fascination for colour palettes and her interest in unusual material have informed her efforts so far. What it more, she has always placed the value of creative spontaneity above that of materials.
She began to combine over and over wood, leather, feathers, beads, pearls, natural stones, Perspex and wire. At the same time she explored traditional jewellery techniques in order to evoke a subtle ancient twist in her pieces. The Wire Collection was born. It has featured exuberant and vibrant pieces, completely handmade and one off.
Most recently Nunzia De Feo has been discovering and experimenting cotton fabric. She has launched The Fabric Collection that has included matching necklaces, bracelets, earrings, brooches made from various combinations of twisted fabric rolls and beads.
Nunzia has been a member of ACJ, The British Association for Contemporary Jewellery since 2006.
